Silicon Valley Power (SVP) is offering grant funding of up to $13 million per eligible customer to support electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure for:

  • Municipal governments
  • Nonprofit organizations

This funding supports the installation of public, fleet, and workplace EV charging stations. The program is designed to:

  • Electrify municipal government and nonprofit fleets in Santa Clara
  • Support sustainability and climate action goals through public and workplace EV charging infrastructure
  • Help reduce emissions in the City of Santa Clara

How Awards Are Determined

All applications go through administrative and technical review. After passing screening, applications are:

  • Scored and ranked based on evaluation criteria on a first-come, first-served basis
  • Funded in order of rank, as long as funds are available

If full funding isn’t available, SVP may offer partial funding, requiring applicants to adjust project scope accordingly.

Maximum Award Amounts

The amount of incentive funding reserved for an Applicant will be determined based on the incentive cap for the number of charging ports or $13 million over 5 years maximum per SVP customer (max per entity), whichever is less.

Level 2 (L2) per charging port - up to $12,500

DC Fast Charger (DCFC) per charging port -  up to $100,000
