Heat Pump Water Heater (Gas-to-Electric)

Replace an old gas water heater with a new ENERGY STAR certified electric heat pump water heater and receive a rebate up to $5,500.

If you have a gas water heater, consider upgrading to an electric heat pump water heater.  A conventional 30 amp heat pump water heater is about seven times more efficient than a natural gas water heater and about four times more efficient than an electric resistance water heater. They improve home safety by eliminating gas leaks and toxic air pollutants.

Some 110/120-volt models plug into existing outlets, often avoiding panel upgrades, though they aren’t suitable for every home. Panel upgrade and/or rewiring may be required when installing a 220/240 volt unit.

Heat Pump Water Heater (Electric-to-Electric)

Install an ENERGY STAR® electric heat pump water heater and get a rebate of $500. 

New electric heat pump water heaters have been engineered to use less than half the electricity of traditional electric hot water heaters. 

To be eligible for the heat pump water heater rebate, the water heater you are replacing must be an electric resistance water heater.
