Eligibility

• This rebate is available only to current Silicon Valley Power (SVP) residential customers. Landlords may participate if their tenant is an eligible SVP residential customer.
• Submit the rebate application within 60 days of purchase date.
• Must be installed and operating in an existing residence receiving electricity from SVP.
• New construction is not eligible.
  To qualify for income qualified bonus rebate(s), Silicon Valley Power residential customer must be enrolled in the Financial Rate Assistance Program and/or Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program prior to date of purchase. Income verification must have been provided within the prior 12 months.
• One (1) rebate per Silicon Valley Power utility service address every seven (7) years.
• Silicon Valley Power reserves the right to verify both the new appliance sale and installation before a rebate is issued. Approval is at the sole discretion of Silicon Valley Power.

Payment

• Rebate of up to $100 for a qualifying variable speed pool filtration pump and motor for an in-ground pool.
• Income qualified customers may be eligible for a bonus rebate of up to $100.
• The rebate amount cannot exceed the purchase price of the appliance plus installation and permit fees, excluding taxes, shipping costs, discounts, and additional incentives received by Customer (i.e., other rebates or grants).
• Rebates are valid for purchases made with United States currency only (i.e., no store credit or credit card points).

Pool Pump Requirements

• Only qualifying ENERGY STAR pool pumps with a Weighted Energy Factor (WEF) of 8.0 or higher qualify.
• New pumps must operate with a qualifying controller. A qualifying controller is a programmable
  controller than meets CA Title 20 regulation requirements. Controller must be able to operate the pool pump on at least two speeds and switch speeds automatically. It also must default to the lowest speed after one normal cycle (24 hours) if temporary high speed override capability exists.
• Equipment and materials must be new and must meet or exceed all applicable local, state and federal standards. Rewinding of motors does not qualify.
• Above ground, pond, pool cleaner/ booster, spa and water feature pumps do not qualify.
• Rebate is for pumps 3 horsepower or less installed on existing residential in-ground swimming pools for primary filtration only.
• Projects may be inspected to verify installation prior to payment.
