Variable Speed Pool Filtration Pump

Install a new Variable Speed Pool Filtration Pump and receive a $100 rebate.

Whether you have a single or two-speed pool filtration pump, you should consider replacing it with a new variable speed pool filtration pump and controller. Variable speed pumps are programmed to meet the needs of your pool. They are about 20% more efficient than a two-speed pool pump and up to 75% more efficient than your old single speed pool pump. This results in significant energy and cost savings to you!

Program Rules

Eligibility

Visit the ENERGY STAR website for a list of qualifying pumps. Only qualifying ENERGY STAR pool pumps with a Weighted Energy Factor (WEF) of 8.0 or higher qualify.
New pumps must operate with a qualifying controller. A qualifying controller is a programmable controller than meets CA Title 20 regulation requirements. Controller must be able to operate the pool pump on at least two speeds and switch speeds automatically. It also must default to the lowest speed after one normal cycle (24 hours) if temporary high speed override capability exists.
Equipment and materials must be new and must meet or exceed all applicable local, state and federal standards. Rewinding of motors does not qualify.
Above ground, pond, pool cleaner/ booster, spa and water feature pumps do not qualify.
Rebate is for pumps 3 horsepower or less installed on existing residential in-ground swimming pools for primary filtration only.
New construction is not eligible.
Projects may be inspected to verify installation prior to payment.
One (1) rebate per Silicon Valley Power utility service address every seven (7) years.
