Smart Electric Panel
Upgrade to a Smart Electric Panel to receive a rebate of $4,000
A smart panel allows you to monitor and control individual circuits and may include capabilities to notify you when equipment is running abnormally and needs service. Smart panels can also help avoid electric service upgrades, which is a benefit to you and to the utility, as transformers don’t need to be replaced with larger capacity transformers.
Traditional electric panels are sized assuming that all appliances may be drawing power at the same time. A smart panel monitors electric loads throughout the home and automatically pauses predetermined circuits when total consumption exceeds the home’s electric capacity and allows them to resume when electric usage drops below the maximum capacity.
Rebate Amount
- $4,000 for projects initiated on or after July 1, 2025.
- Income-qualified customers may qualify for an additional of $1,000 - $2,000 bonus rebate, depending on income level.
Main Service Panel Upgrade (Add-on)
Upgrade a main electric panel to a higher amperage to accommodate additional load from installation of either a Level 2 EV charger or conversion of a natural gas appliance to an eligible electric appliance and receive a rebate up to $1,500.
Rebate Amount
- $1,500
- Income-qualified customers may be eligible for a bonus rebate of up to $1,000 bonus rebate
New Circuits Prewired for Future Electric Appliances (Add-on)
Prewiring new circuits for future electric appliances makes later upgrades easier, less disruptive, and often more cost-effective by putting the needed electrical capacity in place upfront.
Rebate Amount
- Install up to 4 circuits: up to $500 per circuit (max $2,000)
- Install up to 4 circuits (wire and breaker to source) for future electric appliances: up to $500 per circuit (max $2,000).
- Income-qualified customers may be eligible for a bonus rebate of up to $500 per circuit. Max 4 circuits.
Circuit Pauser or Splitter (Add-on)
Install a circuit pauser or splitter to enable the installation of an eligible electrification measure and receive a rebate up to $50.
When you electrify your home, it increases the load on your electric service and it lowers or removes your gas usage. This increased load may require an electric panel upgrade. But did you know there are ways to go all-electric without a panel upgrade?
You may be able to avoid a panel upgrade by selecting power-efficient appliances and using circuit-sharing devices to manage your home’s energy use.
Rebate Amount
- Up to $50 per circuit pauser or splitter
- Income qualified customers may be eligible for a bonus rebate of up to $100
