They deliver 80–90% of energy directly to cookware, wasting far less heat than electric resistance or gas. This keeps kitchens cooler and can reduce air-conditioning use, especially in summer.

• Induction cooktop: $250
• Electric resistance wall over: $200
• Income-qualified customers may be eligible for a bonus rebate of up to $200.
