5% Rate Increase for 2025 Approved

Post Date:11/20/2024 4:00 PM

SVP Training-57-smAt the Nov. 19, 2024 City Council meeting, the proposed 5% rate increase for all Silicon Valley Power customers was approved. This adjustment will take effect on Jan. 1, 2025, and customers will see the change reflected in their February bills.

The increase is necessary to address rising material and construction costs, fund critical infrastructure projects, and maintain reserves in line with Santa Clara's growth. These efforts are essential to ensuring a reliable and sustainable power system for the future.
