Eligibility Criteria
- Be a resident of the City of Santa Clara and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Possess a high school diploma or be a high school senior
- Be enrolled in a community college, college / university
- Show interest in pursuing education in a discipline related to public power and / or energy industry, such as engineering, technology, and environmental science
- Demonstrate goal of entering a field related to energy services, public power, or the power industry

- Completions of four essay questions
- Interview
- Three recommendations—two academic and one personal recommendation from a non-family member
- GPA may be used to evaluate applicants

- Be enrolled in a community college or in a fully licensed or accredited technical school
- Show interest in pursuing professional developments in power- and energy-related fields, such as lineman, apprenticeship training programs, or solar panel installers.
