Solar Explorer

At first glance, the Solar Explorer looks like a small, ranch-style house on wheels. But take a closer look. It's actually a mobile learning center showcasing the latest in energy-efficient technology.

Step inside and learn about solar electric or photovoltaic (PV) systems, lighting, windows, doors, insulation, and more. Informative displays explain the technology behind these energy-efficient technologiesas well as their numerous benefits.

Come see the Solar Explorer at upcoming community events, including The Santa Clara Art and Wine Festival in September, Public Power Week events in October, and at the City Hall Open House in the spring. The Solar Explorer is also available for educational events at Santa Clara schools and other community groups.
