Usage Table and History Graphs
The table indicates service typeelectric is measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh) and water in hundred cubic feet (HCF)meter readings and dates; rate code for service to enable you to calculate your use; and usage. An “E” after the meter reading charge means we had to estimate your consumption. In addition, the table shows daily average use for the current month compared to the same month last year. Colder temperatures, more house guests and vacation days and lifestyle changes can affect your energy use. These two graphs illustrate your average use of electricity and water per day during the billing periods. Remember, heater and air conditioners can really bump up electric costs, while watering your yard accounts for the majority of water usage. If your bill reflects an unusual surge of usage outside those winter and summer months, it may be time to call our Energy Hotline at 408-244-SAVE (7283) for a review of your bill or to schedule an energy audit. For questions on water use or charges, call the Water Department at 408-615-2000.
